Hanging Out on the 11th Floor- poetry

Hanging Out on the 11th Floor.

Traumatised by a criminal conspiracy to frame him in 1970s Ireland, the author’s response, in part, was to turn to poetry. The poems are presented in a combination of lyrical free and blank verse, and concern understanding internal change, in himself and others, over a lengthy period, in honest emotional language.

A State Conspiracy

Written immediately the Sallins frame-up conspiracy unfolded, detailing the tortures inflicted on the detainees.

Political pamphletes are written,  says Orwell, because ‘there is something that one wants to say now , and because one believes there is no other way of getting a hearing.’
