Squabbling international writers James Joyce, Dean Swift, Brendan Behan, Flan O’Brian, Myles na Copaleen, Oscar Wilde and Fionn Mac Cumhaill, well squabble, as an author’s attempts to confront trauma by writing. Hemingway makes a guest comment. The accurately reported meeting took place at the infamous Dublin Book Writer’s Club in 2019- shortly before the club was outlawed.
Traumatised by a criminal conspiracy to frame him in 1970s Ireland, the author’s response, in part, was to turn to poetry. The poems are presented in a combination of lyrical free and blank verse, and concern understanding internal change, in himself and others, over a lengthy period, in honest emotional language.
